Alaska's Congressional delegation and governor need to end gas line lies
Sen. Dan Sullivan, Sen. Lisa Murkowski, Rep. Nick Begich the Third and Gov. Mike Dunleavy have yet to tell the truth about the gas line fraud show put on by Donald Trump in the Oval Office to promote Sullivan’s reelection campaign.
The four of them need to stop lying and apologize. There is no “historic $54 billion Korean investment in Alaska LNG.”
Only Murkowski deserves some slack because she was not one of the Alaska extras in the Trump liefest, as Sullivan, Begich and Dunleavy were.
If any of my readers hear from Sullivan, Murkowski, Begich or Dunleavy about this, please let me know what they are saying.
As of Friday, all four are still lying.
The South Korean government protested the claims by Trump and the Alaska politicians.
The question is whether they knew about Trump’s lie and were parties to it or whether they were fooled by Trump and his henchmen. In either case, they have a lot of explaining to do.
Were all four ignorant of what the joint “fact sheet” from the U.S. and Korea said in the three noncommittal sentences that dealt with the Alaska project? Or were they lying to Alaskans to help Sullivan’s campaign against Mary Peltola?
When Sullivan claimed the project is now “across the finish line” was he lying?
You get a promise of $54 billion out of these words without lying:
“The United States and Korea have agreed to commence working on the Alaska LNG project, subject to meeting commercial reasonableness under the Strategic Investment MOU and all applicable domestic legal requirements. In developing the project, the United States will facilitate the favorable involvement of Korean vendors and suppliers. The United States intends to provide assurances, to the extent possible, regarding offtake agreements at economically viable prices granting Korea priority access to Alaska LNG produced by this project.”

The Alaska Congressional delegation either didn’t read the fact sheet showing there is no $54 billion investment by South Korea or they are lying.
Dunleavy either didn’t read the fact sheet that shows there was no $54 billion promise by South Korea or he is lying.
