Sullivan endorses Trump putting his name on U.S. currency

It will not surprise you that Sen. Dan Sullivan, conscious of what happened to Sen. Bill Cassidy for daring to try to think, is OK with Trump putting his name on the greenback.

Had Joe Biden done this, Sullivan would have snarled. But because it’s Trump whose name will be on our money, Sullivan purred his approval.

Since 1861, U.S. notes have featured the names of the sitting treasury secretary and treasurer of the United States. But Trump’s vanity has no limit.

Rather than respond directly to a constituent who complained about Trump’s arrogance, Sullivan said there was nothing to worry about.

“It is important to note that updates to currency signatures are routine,” Sullivan wrote to the unhappy constituent.

It is important to note that claim by Sullivan is not true. Slapping Trump’s name on paper currency is not at all routine, it’s an aberration, the king of thing that autocrats demand.

Sullivan is keeping up the ruse in his official correspondence that this was not a decision by Trump, but by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, who is among those who wears Trump-approved shoes.

“In this instance, the Treasury Department has chosen to replace the Treasurer’s signature with that of President Trump,” Sullivan says.

This is not about honoring the 250th anniversary of the nation. It’s about honoring Trump as the supreme leader.

“Federal law also prohibits the depiction of a living person’s portrait on U.S. currency. However, this restriction applies only to portraits—not to signatures,” Sullivan writes.

In Oregon, a federal lawsuit is trying to stop the plan for a gold Trump coin.

The other day Trump posted the AI image above that showed Trump on a $100 bill. House members of the Trump cult want to put his mug on a new $250 bill.

If Trump follows through on his C-note fantasy, Sullivan will support it, regardless of the law, for he is obedient.
