With his silence, Sullivan endorses Trump's corrupt election tampering scheme
With his cowardly silence, Sen. Dan Sullivan showed Friday he supports the corrupt Trump claim that Mary Peltola should not serve in the U.S. Senate even if she wins the November 3 election.
“I think Alaskans can tell the difference between a Democrat sideshow and a strong record of delivering for Alaskans,” Sullivan, who skipped the AFN candidate forum, told the Wall Street Journal.
“So what I support is fair and free elections, election integrity in Alaska, and as (state) attorney general I worked on those issues.”
Sure you do. I said here Friday that Sullivan, Sen. Nick Begich the Third, Gov. Mike Dunleavy and the acting attorney general would denounce Trump’s corruption if they had an ounce of integrity.
Sulllivan, Begich the Third, Dunleavy and the acting attorney general are devoid of that quality.
Sullivan has claimed the Alaska Supreme Court was wrong in allowing Sullivan, Dan J. Jr. on the ballot, making the same limp arguments that Trump has made in his corrupt lawsuit.
Sen. Lisa Murkowski, who does not suffer from the same cowardice as Sullivan, Begich the Third and Dunleavy, condemned Trump’s election tampering.
This is how the candidates are listed on the ballot. Only a fool could confuse the two Sullivans.
Alaskans don’t need any help voting for their preferred candidates, and the State of Alaska has already handled this by clearly distinguishing the candidates on this year’s ballot. The Department of Justice should never have filed this lawsuit,” Murkowski said.
In a brainless Wall Street Journal editorial that is clearly the work of WSJ Wasilla carpetbagger Kimberley Strassel, the newspaper blessed Trump’s corrupt tactic by saying “its real purpose before the election is to educate Alaska voters now beginning to pay attention about the Democratic trick.”
That is complete nonsense. Trump is desperate to save his hide. That’s the purpose of his corrupt lawsuit, not to educate anyone.
He will attack any election result that does not favor Republicans, claiming it was rigged. He’s already doing that in Alaska before most voters have cast their ballots.
Only a fool could confuse the two Sullivans because of the way they are listed on the ballot. The Wall Street Journal must think Alaskans are morons.
No one who looks at the ballot could possibly be unable to tell Sullivan, Dan. S. (Registered Republican) Incumbent from the other man, Sullivan, Daniel J. Jr.
The Trump-ordered election tampering overreach and Sullivan’s cowardly silence will benefit Peltola by giving her a great closing argument in the U.S. Senate campaign—corruption, corruption, corruption.
