Sullivan stifles public broadcasting in Alaska by bowing to Trump's demands

Trump said on July 10 that anyone who supported public broadcasting “will not have my support or Endorsement.”

Sen. Dan Sullivan, who is running for reelection in 2026, cast a key vote a week later to defund public broadcasting along will all other Senate Republicans, except Sens. Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins.

After Sullivan performed as instructed, Trump praised him as “a GREAT man.”

Trump again claims joint venture with Japan on Alaska LNG, but don't believe it

Among his litany of lies Tuesday about elections and immigrants, Donald Trump again boasted that the Japanese are ready to spend tens of billions to build the Alaska LNG pipeline.

Dunleavy pays $300 an hour to Judicial Council nominee, contrary to Alaska Constitution

Gov. Mike Dunleavy is paying attorney John W. Wood $300 an hour as a consultant, violating a provision in the Alaska Constitution that says a nominee to the Alaska Judicial Council may not be on the state dime.

Since 2019, Dunleavy has given Wood no-bid contracts with a total face value of about $900,000, according to documents released by the state under a public records request.

Dunleavy should withdraw Wood’s illegal nomination to the judicial council immediately.
